Zing is a powerful search engine, allowing for rich text indexing on tables.
Zing can be configured to expand search results with synonyms.
By default, a sample synonym dictionary exists, consisting of a list of synonym sets (synsets).
Zing supports two types of synonym sets:
- Synonym list – a list of words separated by commas. When a search uses any word from the list, Zing expands the search to include all words in the list.
- Synonym map – two word lists separated by the equal and greater than characters
  - => (e.g. IOT, Internet of Things => Chip, Next thermostat, RFID, IOT).
  - When a search users any word from the list on the right, Zing expands the search to include all words from the list on the left.
  - When a search uses a word from the list on the left, however, Zing does not expand the search to include terms from the list on the right.
- Zing also has the ability to include attachments in search results. These features help users find information quickly and efficiently, or these features can be used to limit the information users can access.
